UPS Tested Air Traffic Control Satellite To Be Deployed

FedEx Plans To Reduce Emissions By 20 Percent
November 18th, 2008 | Posted in IndustryFedEx plans to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from its FedEx Express aircraft fleet by 20 percent and improve the fuel efficiency of its vehicle fleet by 20 percent as well, according to goals outlined in the FedEx 2008 Global Citizenship Report .The company plans to achieve these goals by 2020.
UPS Adopts Paperless Labels and Handheld Scanners
November 14th, 2008 | Posted in IndustryUPS said it has begun using a handheld scanning and paperless printing device to put millions of sorting labels directly on packages. UPS said the device will save “millions of dollars” and 1,338 tons of paper each year. It also is expected to reduce processing time and the rate of mislabeled packages.
DHL Discontinuing Domestic Air and Ground Services

DHL Brings Back Cuddles Plush Toys for Christmas

DHL Christmas Cuddles include Jumbo, the mammoth, Diego, the saber-toothed tiger, Wolfy, the wolf and Shamoo, the whale.
FedEx and Commerce Department Plan Trade Mission to India
November 4th, 2008 | Posted in IndustryFedEx said it will partner with the Commerce Department’s U.S. Commercial Service for a trade mission to India to meet with potential business partners, agents, distributors and buyers to discuss future opportunities for American businesses.
In the past four years, from 2003-2007, U.S.-India trade increased by 130 percent, reaching more than $41 billion. Trade between the two countries is up 21 percent through the first half of 2008 compared with the same time period last year.
