John Berg

Principal Partner

John Berg is the Managing Partner of Best Way Technologies and oversees all aspects of delivering customer value through automated and integrated systems solutions. He manages a very specialized group of senior systems engineers focused on Enterprise Distribution Applications, including carrier compliant and certified shipping systems, TMS, WMS, wireless / barcode and material handling applications.

John has over 22 years of experience in all aspects of transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Prior to SPSI and Best Way Technologies, John held several key management positions with UPS, Olson Logistics, and Advanced Distribution Solutions. John specialized in supply chain optimization, customer automation, and logistical process improvement along with leveraging B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions.

John earned an MBA degree along with three complementary undergraduate degrees in business, marketing and management. John's continuous education philosophy is carried over in the improvement processes delivered to both Best Way Technologies internal and external customer base.

John and his wife Teri currently reside in the western suburbs of Milwaukee, WI. Both John and Teri enjoy and participate in many extra-curricular activities related to raising their three children, as well as staying involved in their local school, church, and community.

Jeff Goeters

Manager of Product Development

Jeff Goeters is the Director of Development for Best Way Technologies, and is responsible for overseeing daily development operations for all the Best Way Technologies offices, as well as being chief architect of the ProShip product.

A founding member of Best Way Technologies, Jeff has worked on the technology side of logistics operations for some 15 years, including roles as a programmer, system administrator, DBA, instructor, and various managerial and executive roles.

Prior to his career in the industry, Jeff is proud of his service in the surface fleet of the US Navy as a nuclear power plant electrician.

Jeff and his family live in Chicago, IL. Jeff is an avid advocate for the protected animals shelter movement, and a regular volunteer for PAWS Chicago, the city's largest animal humane organization, focused on implementing solutions to protect of homeless pets.

James Douglas

Director of SAP Business Channel

Jim Douglas is the Managing Director of the SAP Channel position for ProShip at Best Way Technologies. He is responsible for distribution systems initiatives with our SAP customers and the SAP Channel.

Jim has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of business management including transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Jim's career began with management positions at two large corporations, GE and BOC Gases, and continued with executive and ownership roles in small to medium size companies. Prior to joining Best Way Technologies, Jim worked as a principal at an SAP Channel Partner. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A & M University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Jim and his wife Shawn reside in the western suburbs of Milwaukee, WI. Both Jim and Shawn stay busy with various extra-curricular athletic, church and school activities with their three children. Jim does find time for a little golf and water skiing in the warmer months.

Nathan Rucker

Territory Sales Director

Nathan Rucker is the Territory Sales Director for Best Way Technologies. His responsibilities encompass direct global sales of Enterprise Shipping Systems, Transportation Management Systems, RF Barcode & Data Collection Equipment, and Warehouse Management Solutions.

With more than six years of experience in supply chain management and inventory control solutions, Nathan has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies to deploy and support enterprise level WMS systems and hardware solutions. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he also minored in Information Technology.

Nathan and his wife Megan currently reside in Stillwater, MN. When he's not working, Nathan is busy at home with his two children, Max and Madison. Nathan enjoys a wide range of activities, including taking his children to the park, playing golf, boating, reading, investing and traveling.

Mark Williamson

Territory Sales Director

Mark Williamson is the Territory Sales Director at Best Way Technologies. Mark is responsible for direct sales of Enterprise Shipping Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Solutions and all supporting hardware.

Mark has over 11 years of experience providing supply chain management and inventory control solutions. Mark has a great deal of experience deploying and supporting enterprise solutions and the hardware that support those systems.

Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Mark is currently perusing his Master’s Degree in Management Technology also at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Mark and his wife, Sarah, have two young children and currently reside in Woodbury, Minnesota. Mark enjoys a wide range of activities including running marathons, jogging and biking. Mark is also busy playing volleyball, basketball, baseball and keeping up with his active children.

Shelly Boss

Customer Service Advocate

Shelly Boss is the Customer Service Advocate of the Distribution Systems Division at Best Way Technologies and SPSI. She is responsible for the company’s industry-leading customer service advocate program, and manages the support call process from service call initiation to resolution. In addition, she implements customer service policies and procedures for the Distribution group and maintains business relationships with our clients.

Shelly has over 20 years of direct customer service and account management experience. As a certified Survey Administrator, she utilizes various tools and venues to benchmark and track the customer service experience with clients, turning satisfaction and expectation ratings into performance enhancement plans. As part of her responsibilities Shelly reaches out to clients with newsletters, informational mailings, product and service updates, policy maintenance, and customer service process improvement surveys.

Shelly has earned national certifications for survey implementation and administration, instructional design, performance management, and sales administration. She taught creative writing at Marquette University for several years and has had some of her work published in regional and national print.

Residing in the Milwaukee area with her husband and son, Shelly served on the board of directors for the Cudahy-St. Francis Little Baseball Association (CSFLBA) for seven years. Shelly continues her love for creative writing and haiku, and collects southwestern art and sculpture and oriental artifacts.

Vicky Pare

Distribution Systems Administrator

As Distribution Systems Administrator, Vicky's responsibilities include the overseeing of project scheduling, and procurement, along with vendor and customer relations. Vicky also holds other key responsibilities within Best Way Technologies overall service operations.

Vicky has been working in the transportation, distribution, and IT systems fields for the past 15 years. Her industry experience, superior customer contact skills and organizational acumen make her a key member of the Best Way Technologies team.

Vicky and her family reside in South Eastern, WI where most of her free time is spent at various church related activities and motorcycle rallies across the state. When Vicky is not riding her Harley Davidson, she is spending time with her daughter who is an accomplished musician and an aspiring volleyball player.

Justin Cramer

Director of Deployment and Integration

Justin Cramer manages and directs the deployment and integration of all Best Way Technologies Solutions. Working directly with customers, Justin is responsible for the successful implementation of ProShip and helping customers realize long-term satisfaction and value from ProShip solutions.

Justin has over 12 years of experience in developing, deploying and integrating shipping software solutions. Prior to entering the shipping world, Justin was a naval nuclear operator for eight years, tasked with the deployment of tag-out/lock-out software to manage tasks from simple maintenance to complex ship overhaul and nuclear refueling.

Justin and his family reside in northeastern Illinois where Justin and his wife teach their children the continuing lessons of citizenship and leadership.

Carolyn Hoffman

Manager of Marketing

Carolyn Hoffman is responsible for marketing at Best Way Technologies, supervising all aspects from trade shows to web site content. With an IT background, Carolyn has gained extensive experience in the manufacturing/distribution and service industries since 1984. Carolyn began her career in programming and advanced to project manager.

Prior to joining the team, Carolyn worked with Best Way Technolgoies/SPSI consultants for ten years. In her marketing capacity, Carolyn coordinates trade show activity, maintains the content on the company’s web sites, and develops advertising for Best Way Technologies and SPSI. She also monitors staff certification and education levels to maintain compliance with business partners such as IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, SAP, Oracle and many others.

Carolyn and her family reside in Waukesha County. She is the cofounder of the Pediatric Neurotransmitter Disease Association (PND), an organization established to find treatment for children born with rare neurological disorders.
